Using OnlyCanals

OnlyCanals is provided by Sam Shields for adult users planning and exploring UK inland waterways. Use it lawfully and read the Waterway safety information. Features and data may change, contain errors or be unavailable. We do not guarantee navigability, complete coverage, uninterrupted service or the accuracy of community content.

Your account and contributions

Keep your sign-in details secure. Submit only content you have the right to share and do not include other people's personal information without permission. You retain ownership of your content and permit OnlyCanals to store, process, display and moderate it as needed to provide the service. Do not post threats, harassment, hate, sexual content, impersonation, spam or deliberately false safety reports. Follow the community guidelines.

Moderation and complaints

Signed-in members can flag reports and block authors. You can also contact sam@globalmaximum.com. We may remove content or restrict accounts for abuse or breaches of these terms. Contact support if you believe a moderation decision is wrong. Reports are not monitored as an emergency response channel.

Data, attribution and your rights

The privacy policy explains how information is used and how to request deletion. OpenStreetMap data is credited to its contributors and is available under the Open Database Licence; other sources retain their stated licences. Do not remove source attribution. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Changes and contact

We may revise these terms as the service develops and will identify the revision date. Material changes will be brought to users' attention. Contact Sam Shields at sam@globalmaximum.com about these terms, support or your account.
